Spectators: 7510 (Terracing: 5633, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arnoldo Ubarna started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting de Gijón's zone, Andrea Monticelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ariel Urbasa came out of the goal and Andrea Monticelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Fedele Vittorio fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fc Molina di Quosa's protests and gave Fedele Vittorio a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Fc Molina di Quosa's Fedele Vittorio got a free kick in the 7th minute. Andrea Monticelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Fc Molina di Quosa's Achille Aversa got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Ariel Urbasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrea Monticelli in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute Alessio Manzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Urbasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29thth minute of the game Andrea Monticelli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting de Gijón's Ariel Urbasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andrea Monticelli in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ariel Urbasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Fc Molina di Quosa getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Alberto Giorgi hit a great ball. Achille Aversa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Ariel Urbasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the game, Sporting de Gijón's Arnoldo Ubarna nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carter Lio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amadeo Panpili in the 44th minute of play forced Fc Molina di Quosa's goalkeeper Carter Lio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sporting de Gijón getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Gustavo Quintin hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Fc Molina di Quosa's Flavio Grieco tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alessio Manzo to strike the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goal looked a bit too open when Andrea Monticelli came free, but Ariel Urbasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ariel Urbasa came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Fc Molina di Quosa's Andrea Monticelli. But to his dismay, Andrea Monticelli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Sporting de Gijón's Teodoro Niva was substituted for Kevin Zenón. Sporting de Gijón made a substitution. Angelino Pelagius replaced Brian Aguirre. 66 minutes into the game, Andrea Monticelli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Ariel Urbasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alessio Manzo in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ariel Urbasa saved Sporting de Gijón from getting behind. Ariel Urbasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrea Monticelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd match minute, Sporting de Gijón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Quintin to maneuver through the defense. After 94 played minutes, Fc Molina di Quosa's Flavio Grieco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ariel Urbasa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fc Molina di Quosa reached it. Alessio Manzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Ariel Urbasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fc Molina di Quosa fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sporting de Gijón had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
