In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind NovaStella FK's goalkeeper Patrick Almkvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Patrick Almkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedito Domingues in the 14th minute of the match. After 16 played minutes Caatiba MZC got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Mazza. Rodolfo Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Åke Hellström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodolfo Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Bergren in the 24th minute of play. After having played for 32 minutes, Benedito Domingues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caatiba MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benedito Domingues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Patrik Jelm notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Caatiba MZC's Rodolfo Quirino. Rodolfo Quirino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Sven-Åke Hellström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anton Bergren kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After 47 played minutes Caatiba MZC got a freekick which was hit by Benedito Domingues.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eusébio Matorin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Benedito Domingues fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caatiba MZC's protests and gave Benedito Domingues a yellow card for diving instead. If Benedito Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute Sven-Åke Hellström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Anton Bergren managed to get in a good position for a shot. NovaStella FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Anton Bergren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Quirino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute, Sven-Åke Hellström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Sven Kilström managed to get in a good position for a shot. NovaStella FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven Kilström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Quirino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th minute, Anton Bergren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NovaStella FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Sven-Åke Hellström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Allan Penha fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caatiba MZC's protests and gave Allan Penha a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of NovaStella FK booed when Caatiba MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Penha didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the game, NovaStella FK's Anton Bergren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodolfo Quirino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anton Bergren got free with Rodolfo Quirino in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Eusébio Matorin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caatiba MZC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusébio Matorin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrick Almkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. NovaStella FK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
