The Clapham Rovers fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Clapham Rovers's Freddy Blakewell looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Julien Demarez during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Fauna Utd getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Julien Demarez hit a great ball. The supporters of Clapham Rovers booed when Fauna Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giles Verduin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Fauna Utd's zone, Freddy Blakewell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arne Van Brusselen came out of the goal and Freddy Blakewell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Clapham Rovers getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Marty Child hit a great ball. The Fauna Utd players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Clapham Rovers were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Henri-Xavier Justus made the kick off in the second half. Marty Child's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arne Van Brusselen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henri-Xavier Justus in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Conan Worth saved Clapham Rovers from getting behind. Freddy Blakewell hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Marty Child fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne Van Brusselen having to interfere. Henri-Xavier Justus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Clapham Rovers's goalkeeper Conan Worth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fauna Utd's Arne Van Brusselen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Blakewell in the 79th minute of play. Clapham Rovers's Marty Child got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stefan Lambrechs's late challenge caught a Clapham Rovers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stefan Lambrechs helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Clapham Rovers booed when Fauna Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Lambrechs didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Dale Friend in the 89th minute really tested Arne Van Brusselen's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Marty Child sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Vinnie Bartlett fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clapham Rovers's protests and gave Vinnie Bartlett a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Clapham Rovers's Vinnie Bartlett got a free kick in the 97th minute. Although Fauna Utd had been in control for most of the match, Clapham Rovers still came away with the win.
