Spectators: 7482 (Terracing: 5613, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hugo Mede started the match with the kick off. Amancio Omero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yannis Candries, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 4th minute, Marciano Stanislao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Fauna Utd's Arne Van Brusselen got control of the ball when Benito Mino tried to sneak it across the goal line. 8 minutes into the game, Anier Sotil was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tierra del Fuego FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fauna Utd the free kick. The supporters of Fauna Utd booed when Tierra del Fuego FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anier Sotil didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 12 played minutes Hugo Mede rounded Fauna Utd's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Yannis Candries struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Amancio Omero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fauna Utd. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marnix Mons in the 18th minute of play forced Tierra del Fuego FC's goalkeeper Amancio Omero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amancio Omero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yannis Candries went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Amancio Omero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francois Swartenbroekx in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute Yannis Candries shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amancio Omero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugo Mede hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute, Yannis Candries got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francois Swartenbroekx in the 32nd minute of play forced Tierra del Fuego FC's goalkeeper Amancio Omero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amancio Omero came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Fauna Utd's Marnix Mons. But to his dismay, Marnix Mons quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henri-Xavier Justus was the one to do the kick off. Tierra del Fuego FC's Amancio Omero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Tierra del Fuego FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Fauna Utd's Francois Swartenbroekx got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fauna Utd's goalkeeper Arne Van Brusselen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amancio Omero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marnix Mons in the 74th minute. A collision led to Fauna Utd getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Yannis Candries hit a great ball. After 77 played minutes Fauna Utd got a freekick which was hit by Henri-Xavier Justus. Arne Van Brusselen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Mede, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amancio Omero made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Yannis Candries sent off a good shot on target. Henri-Xavier Justus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Tierra del Fuego FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Fauna Utd's performance. The match ended with a win for Fauna Utd.
