But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domenico Mantini couldn't finish the play. Atilano Lia made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Eugenio Casiraghi sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to XMAS getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Diego Pellicciotta hit a great ball. In the 44thth minute of the game Bernabe Batista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but XMAS's Concetto Garibaldi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernabe Batista in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Concetto Garibaldi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ennio De Nardis to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match, Bernabe Batista tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Concetto Garibaldi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Eugenio Casiraghi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. XMAS's Concetto Garibaldi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernabe Batista in the 88th minute of play. In the 93rd minute Ennio De Nardis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atilano Lia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Volvimos mejores's Atilano Lia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domenico Mantini in the 97th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Volvimos mejores players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for XMAS.
