But to his dismay, Antonio Poletti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 16th minute Bernabe Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Lemme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Antonio Poletti fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GiaSiRo 08's protests and gave Antonio Poletti a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to GiaSiRo 08 getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Antonio Poletti hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Natalio Rutenio during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a little luck, Volvimos mejores's Atilano Lia got control of the ball when Edoardo Sammartano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Atilano Lia came out of the goal and Camillo Nola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natalio Rutenio in the 36th minute of play forced GiaSiRo 08's goalkeeper Aldo Lemme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Natalio Rutenio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Aldo Lemme was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. During the 46th minute of the match Natalio Rutenio completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Natalio Rutenio a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Volvimos mejores's Natalio Rutenio got a free kick in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The supporters of GiaSiRo 08 booed when Volvimos mejores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Ortzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Volvimos mejores's Atilano Lia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Giannetta in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Volvimos mejores's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Giannetta came free, but Atilano Lia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Volvimos mejores players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
