The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Natan Blanco's late challenge caught a Dark Prophets's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Dracul Medellín's goalkeeper Tercero Arriete, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Real Dracul Medellín's Natan Blanco got a free kick in the 5th minute. Tercero Arriete showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alin Curteanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Mihăiţă Gheție had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alin Curteanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 57 minutes into the game, Alin Curteanu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tercero Arriete. Alin Curteanu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. After 62 played minutes Real Dracul Medellín got a freekick which was hit by Natan Blanco. The long shot by Dorel Cernescu in the 63rd minute really tested Tercero Arriete's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Dumitru Tolea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raitin Olea in the 71st minute of play. Dumitru Tolea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chucho Virto, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Real Dracul Medellín's Tercero Arriete proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Real Dracul Medellín from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Tercero Arriete successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee felt a red card was in order, 79 minutes into the game, when Sorin Potra put in a rough tackle. In the 79th minute, Sorin Potra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chucho Virto in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dumitru Tolea saved Dark Prophets from getting behind. Dark Prophets's Sergiu Moți quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ronaldo Bao, made in the 84th minute of the game. Dark Prophets's Dumitru Tolea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chucho Virto in the 85th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Dark Prophets's goal looked a bit too open when Chucho Virto came free, but Dumitru Tolea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chucho Virto took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dumitru Tolea. Dumitru Tolea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Dumitru Tolea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chucho Virto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Real Dracul Medellín had won after a very even match.
