Spectators: 7516 (Terracing: 5638, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Thiago Matorin started the match with the kick off. Toni Thieltges's late challenge caught a Guará FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Toni Thieltges helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Hamburg Fighters getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Toni Thieltges hit a great ball. Thiago Matorin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Nolan Bästlein when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Hamburg Fighters's Frank Seybold managed to work through Guará FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Frank Seybold dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Friedel Wahlberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Célio Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Friedel Wahlberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thiago Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Célio Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Friedel Wahlberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Friedel Wahlberg struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Célio Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hamburg Fighters. After some careless play in the Guará FC defense, Frank Seybold kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Célio Mendonça. The Guará FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Célio Mendonça should have stopped the shot. In the 36th match minute, Guará FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Henrique to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Hamburg Fighters's Jens Stober tried to score from far away in the 37th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute Guará FC were awarded a corner. Luiz Fábio Furlan went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Guará FC's corner Gustavo Henrique fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nolan Bästlein quite easily take care of the ball. After the first half Hamburg Fighters were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frank Seybold to strike the kick off in the second half. Nolan Bästlein stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristóvão Mattos's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. In the 58th match minute, Guará FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóvão Mattos to maneuver through the defense. Thiago Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Burkhard Niebler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Guará FC's Célio Mendonça got control of the ball when Friedel Wahlberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nolan Bästlein didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thiago Matorin went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Thiago Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Friedel Wahlberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Célio Mendonça made a huge save. A collision led to Hamburg Fighters getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Andi Strehl hit a great ball. In the 94th minute Frank Seybold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Célio Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Guará FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
