Spectators: 7528 (Terracing: 5647, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 150) Hamburg Fighters's Frank Seybold started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, FRANK's Eilert Bjørgo got a free kick in the 5th minute. Audun Østenstad kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Frank Seybold's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sam Brorsson was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. In the 8th match minute, FRANK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Preben Fonnes to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th match minute, Hamburg Fighters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Safet Krueger to maneuver through the defense. When Eilert Bjørgo came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the FRANK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eilert Bjørgo couldn't finish the play. 14 minutes into the match, Sindre Evje had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nolan Bästlein. Hamburg Fighters's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sindre Evje was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Audun Østenstad during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Hamburg Fighters booed when FRANK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Audun Østenstad didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute, Sindre Evje got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sam Brorsson made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Burkhard Niebler sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Hamburg Fighters's Frank Seybold slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sam Brorsson. That made the score 1-1 after 26 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, FRANK's Audun Østenstad got a free kick in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the match, FRANK's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Seybold came free, but Sam Brorsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hamburg Fighters's Nolan Bästlein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sindre Evje in the 32nd minute of play. In the 36th match minute, Hamburg Fighters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wulf-Dieter Schwarze to maneuver through the defense. If Sindre Evje had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FRANK getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Audun Østenstad hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sindre Evje was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Konrad Glesnes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Friedel Wahlberg scored 2-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sam Brorsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 59th minute Burkhard Niebler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sam Brorsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frank Seybold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Friedel Wahlberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sam Brorsson having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Seybold in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sam Brorsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sam Brorsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Burkhard Niebler, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the match, FRANK's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Seybold came free, but Sam Brorsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Sindre Evje 84 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. The supporters of Hamburg Fighters booed when FRANK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eilert Bjørgo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sam Brorsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Burkhard Niebler in the 93rd minute of play. Hamburg Fighters were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
