The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Esteban Dolfos during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Manfredi AFC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Esteban Dolfos hit a great ball. After 10 played minutes Manfredi AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Benitez. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Mendes during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 12 played minutes Galo do Cerrado got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Mendes. 15 minutes into the match, Manfredi AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Mendes came free, but Enrique Sagrario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enrique Sagrario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Mendes in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute Cássio Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Sagrario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enrique Sagrario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 24 played minutes Manfredi AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Cutberto. After having played for 25 minutes, Alfredo Diniz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galo do Cerrado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Diniz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute, Benjamin Branco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manfredi AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Cássio Matorin scored to the left of an out of position Enrique Sagrario, making the score, 2-0. Manfredi AFC's attentive Clodoveo Urki managed to snatch the ball when Carlos Alberto Faria made a throw-in in the 35th minute of the game. In the 36th minute, Manuel Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Galo do Cerrado's zone, Pablo Cordeal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredinho Andrade came out of the goal and Pablo Cordeal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A throw-in in the 40th minute of the game was made by Carlos Alberto Faria with Alfredo Diniz as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Benitez in the 43rd minute of play forced Galo do Cerrado's goalkeeper Alfredinho Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gregorio Tiadoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredinho Andrade having to interfere. Cássio Matorin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Enrique Sagrario made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Cássio Matorin made the kick off in the second half. Manfredi AFC's Enrique Sagrario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Matorin in the 57th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Cássio Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Sagrario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Alberto Faria got a throw-in 72 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Alfredo Diniz. Jacinto Benitez charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacinto Benitez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Galo do Cerrado booed when Manfredi AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Benitez didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cássio Matorin came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Galo do Cerrado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cássio Matorin couldn't finish the play. Manfredi AFC's Enrique Sagrario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Matorin in the 80th minute of play. In the 89thth minute of the game Cássio Matorin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Manfredi AFC's Enrique Sagrario was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Manfredi AFC's Enrique Sagrario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Matorin in the 93rd minute of play. Alfredinho Andrade was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Jacinto Benitez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jacinto Benitez really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Galo do Cerrado had played much better football throughout.
