In the 11th minute, Ignacio Quirce ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredinho Andrade was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Ignacio Quirce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Paulo Marinho lost his temper 17 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Alfredinho Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Quirce in the 23rd minute of the match. The long shot by Manuel Mendes in the 26th minute really tested Silvestre Machado's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 28th minute Justo Laffitte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredinho Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Angel Eusko made a precise shot to the right of Alfredinho Andrade. Galo do Cerrado's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Alfredinho Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Eusko in the 34th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Galo do Cerrado's zone, Amancio Herensuge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredinho Andrade came out of the goal and Amancio Herensuge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredinho Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Eusko in the 40th minute of play. Justo Laffitte kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Cássio Matorin got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The Galo do Cerrado players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. VIEDMA FC were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ignacio Quirce made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Bartolo Franco dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alfredinho Andrade, 0-3. In the 61st minute, Bartolo Franco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
