Dafin Pastirov started the match with the kick off. Nicolas Vilar hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Esquadrão Lusitano's zone, Igor Pisarski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Trindade came out of the goal and Igor Pisarski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th minute, Igor Pisarski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Botev Plovdiv 1912 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Esquadrão Lusitano's goal looked a bit too open when Dafin Pastirov came free, but Ivan Trindade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nelio Bombardeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Esquadrão Lusitano's Nelio Bombardeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gabriel Vanov kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Botev Plovdiv 1912's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Nelio Bombardeiro 31 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Ivan Trindade stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dafin Pastirov's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Zlatin Baldev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelio Bombardeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nelio Bombardeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Esquadrão Lusitano booed when Botev Plovdiv 1912 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vencho Ushkolov didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nelio Bombardeiro in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zlatin Baldev saved Botev Plovdiv 1912 from getting behind. Nelio Bombardeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Zlatin Baldev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Esquadrão Lusitano getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Emanuel Fagundes hit a great ball. Igor Pisarski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Ivan Trindade made a huge save. Vencho Ushkolov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivan Trindade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Velcho Botzov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute, António Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Esquadrão Lusitano's António Carvalho got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 76th match minute, Botev Plovdiv 1912 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasil Shterionov to maneuver through the defense. Sabino Carrasqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Ivan Trindade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Velcho Botzov, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabino Carrasqueira in the 91st minute of play forced Botev Plovdiv 1912's goalkeeper Zlatin Baldev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
