Spectators: 7476 (Terracing: 5608, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nelsinho Mendes kicked off to start the match. In the 13th match minute, SRP-Laguna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chiquinho Chaves to maneuver through the defense. Rubens Brasil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th match minute, SRP-Laguna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilson Coelho to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Rubens Brasil took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Alfredo Caneda to make any attempt to save it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and German Canado made a kick off. In the 57th match minute, SRP-Laguna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelsinho Mendes to maneuver through the defense. Fortunato Barcaiztegui's shot from long distance in the 64th minute was not bad at all, but SRP-Laguna's Nuno Azevedo knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 65th minute, Cordareo Lazcano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tajo Barquerin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Azevedo having to interfere. Nuno Azevedo was a little too slow when Valente Nieva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 1-1. A collision led to Caaguazu getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Cordareo Lazcano hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the game, Alex Sarmento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SRP-Laguna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caaguazu the free kick. In the 90th minute, Cordareo Lazcano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chiquinho Chaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Caneda having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Caaguazu's zone, Chiquinho Chaves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Caneda came out of the goal and Chiquinho Chaves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
