Spectators: 7493 (Terracing: 5621, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Franko Estades started the match with the kick off. After 5 minutes, Telmo Zarra mouthed his way into the referee's book. Aurre Belorado scored 2-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Damián Martínez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 24 minutes into the game, Gabriel-Alejandro Batistuta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dagoberto Alcalde. Gabriel-Alejandro Batistuta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. When Mancio Rapela fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caaguazu's protests and gave Mancio Rapela a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes Caaguazu got a freekick which was hit by Mancio Rapela. After 35 minutes, Antonio Shantala mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Belgrano LOS PIRATAS and the Caaguazu players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 played minutes Belgrano LOS PIRATAS got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Shantala. In the 42nd minute, Gabriel-Alejandro Batistuta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabriel-Alejandro Batistuta was the one to do the kick off. If Gabriel-Alejandro Batistuta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. During the 52nd minute of the match Antonio Shantala completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Antonio Shantala a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Belgrano LOS PIRATAS getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Antonio Shantala hit a great ball. After 57 played minutes Belgrano LOS PIRATAS got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel-Alejandro Batistuta. Caaguazu made a substitution. Tajo Barquerin replaced Baiardo Combarros. Damián Martínez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Roman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Aurre Belorado reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Damián Martínez. The goal made the score 3-2. After 73 minutes of play, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Cipriano Darien made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dagoberto Alcalde was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 77th minute, Alejo Elizardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Damián Martínez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mancio Rapela in the 78th minute. In the 80thth minute of the game Alejo Elizardo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caaguazu's Dagoberto Alcalde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Caaguazu getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Aurre Belorado hit a great ball. In the 89th match minute, Caaguazu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Olloa to maneuver through the defense.
