Mauro Ciceron dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Frantzes in the 19th minute of play forced deportivo madrid's goalkeeper Mauro Ciceron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauro Ciceron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clodoveo Olentzaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 34th match minute, Los Golosos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Frantzes to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, Los Golosos's goalkeeper Raimundo Quexal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nunez Janpier. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Salvador Frantzes to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clodoveo Olentzaro during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Modesto Paulin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Ciceron having to interfere. Sergio Madrid scored 1-1 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raimundo Quexal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to deportivo madrid getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Emilio Galoer hit a great ball. Nunez Ilixo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salvador Frantzes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Mauro Ciceron made a huge save. After 82 minutes, Cesar Montrell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Golosos and the deportivo madrid players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Nunez Ilixo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
