The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lorenzo Sazon hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Perrando Magallanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th match minute, Rivermania FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dionisio Abascal to maneuver through the defense. Theobald Secanell kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dionisio Abascal in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Perrando Magallanes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 22nd minute Ubaldo Pasqual shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perrando Magallanes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Nazario took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Perrando Magallanes. Perrando Magallanes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to One Piece FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Gabino Linde hit a great ball. When Nicanor Dimas came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Rivermania FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicanor Dimas couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Ubaldo Pasqual managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rivermania FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ubaldo Pasqual was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Perrando Magallanes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ubaldo Pasqual in the 36th minute of play forced One Piece FC's goalkeeper Perrando Magallanes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rivermania FC's Arturo Sengrat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Cegama in the 38th minute of play. Peter Quintana hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute, Calvino Figueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 41 played minutes, Rivermania FC's Diego Lauaxeta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Perrando Magallanes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rivermania FC reached it. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 52 minutes of play, One Piece FC's Odol Morillas made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arturo Sengrat was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 57 minutes, Angelo Nazario made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. One Piece FC's Perrando Magallanes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ubaldo Pasqual received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Perrando Magallanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Dionisio Abascal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Odol Morillas might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arturo Sengrat. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Odol Morillas ran back to his position shaking his head. Calvino Figueira kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 78th minute Anselmo Cegama shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Sengrat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Nicanor Dimas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rivermania FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave One Piece FC the free kick. Nicanor Dimas hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, One Piece FC's Calvino Figueira got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Rivermania FC's Angelo Nazario got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 84 played minutes One Piece FC got a freekick which was hit by Calvino Figueira. The supporters of One Piece FC booed when Rivermania FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ildefonso Jurgi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angelo Nazario might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Perrando Magallanes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Angelo Nazario ran back to his position shaking his head. When Ubaldo Pasqual came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Rivermania FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubaldo Pasqual couldn't finish the play. Rivermania FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
