Spectators: 7490 (Terracing: 5618, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) Isaac Unax hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After 7 minutes, Isaac Unax mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Desafio FC and the Wambalamba FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Wambalamba FC booed when Desafio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Unax didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelo Petri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Paulo Chaves in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Wambalamba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Filomeno Mazuste came free, but João Pedro dos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute, Dinei Goiano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wambalamba FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Paulo Chaves in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelo Petri saved Desafio FC from getting behind. A collision led to Wambalamba FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Dinei Goiano hit a great ball. Marcelo Petri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Paulo Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Filomeno Mazuste hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The supporters of Desafio FC booed when Wambalamba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinei Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelo Petri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinei Goiano in the 29th minute of the match. João Paulo Chaves charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Paulo Chaves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Wambalamba FC's João Paulo Chaves got a free kick in the 31st minute. Desafio FC's Florencio Constancio shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 32nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by João Pedro dos Santos but with some difficulty. In the 36th minute, João Paulo Chaves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wambalamba FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Dinei Goiano took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelo Petri. Marcelo Petri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 48th minute João Paulo Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Petri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Wambalamba FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Paulo Chaves to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcelo Petri acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 53rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Zézinho Rosado. João Pedro dos Santos came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Desafio FC's Silvio Hernando. But to his dismay, Silvio Hernando quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 60th minute Higinio Obeko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Pedro dos Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Wambalamba FC's João Paulo Chaves slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcelo Petri. That made the score 1-4 after 61 minutes of play. In the 66th minute Dinei Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Petri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 played minutes Desafio FC got a freekick which was hit by Israel Tercero. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Paulo Chaves got free with Marcelo Petri in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Paulo Chaves in the 77th minute of play forced Desafio FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Petri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Desafio FC's goal looked a bit too open when João Paulo Chaves came free, but Marcelo Petri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcelo Petri was a little too slow when João Paulo Chaves got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 1-5. After 91 played minutes Desafio FC got a freekick which was hit by Adan Gaueko. David Nicholas lost his temper 94 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Desafio FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Wambalamba FC:s goal. The Wambalamba FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
