Marcelo Petri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfried Lépinay in the 5th minute of the match. Marcelo Petri was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jean-Yves Paturel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. If Higinio Obeko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kevan Grange took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Obeko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Higinio Obeko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kevan Grange. Les diables noirs's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Higinio Obeko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Higinio Obeko took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kevan Grange. Kevan Grange dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 27th match minute, Les diables noirs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joey Weill to maneuver through the defense. Les diables noirs's Kevan Grange played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filomeno Mazuste in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute Gustave Pierrel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Petri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Desafio FC booed when Les diables noirs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joey Weill didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Desafio FC's Filomeno Mazuste got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Higinio Obeko in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kevan Grange prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Desafio FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Wilfried Lépinay made the kick off in the second half. If Aurelio Lordi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelo Petri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Yves Paturel in the 57th minute of play. Marcelo Petri was left in no man's land by his defense there! Desafio FC played a much better game than Les diables noirs and deserved their victory. The Les diables noirs players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
