Spectators: 7444 (Terracing: 5584, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 148) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Higinio Obeko kicked off to start the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Higinio Obeko in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felipe Lopes saved Macaco F.C. from getting behind. In the 6th minute, Higinio Obeko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Felipe Lopes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of Macaco F.C. booed when Desafio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Unax didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thomás Pimenta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute of the match, Zé Pedro Prestes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcelo Petri saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Desafio FC's Marcelo Petri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Desafio FC from getting a goal against them. In the 16th minute, Aurelio Lordi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 19 played minutes Desafio FC got a freekick which was hit by Filomeno Mazuste. In the 27th minute, Zé Pedro Prestes made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Petri. Desafio FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Thomás Pimenta hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Desafio FC's zone, Geovanni Pinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Petri came out of the goal and Geovanni Pinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Macaco F.C. booed when Desafio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Corderall didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelo Petri came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Macaco F.C.'s Thomás Pimenta. But to his dismay, Thomás Pimenta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Felipe Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvio Hernando, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 59th minute, Geovanni Pinho made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Petri. Desafio FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. If Zé Pedro Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 74 minutes into the match, Geovanni Pinho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Petri. Desafio FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geovanni Pinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Felipe Lopes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvio Hernando in the 78th minute. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Macaco F.C.'s goalkeeper Felipe Lopes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Macaco F.C.'s Felipe Lopes got control of the ball when Silvio Hernando tried to sneak it across the goal line. Desafio FC's Filomeno Mazuste got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
