Ove Hake came out of the goal and Fernando Portela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th match minute, Nils Liedholm IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry Wennerquist to maneuver through the defense. Vítor Patrício recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kalle Norström's late challenge caught a AD Pontassolense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kalle Norström helped the player get up and apologised. Kalle Norström kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 22nd match minute, Nils Liedholm IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Einar Borre to maneuver through the defense. Vladimiro Barroso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zebastian Österlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Joaquim Palhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ove Hake made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Palhares in the 31st minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 55th minute, Kalle Norström made a precise shot to the right of Vladimiro Barroso. AD Pontassolense's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Vítor Patrício hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After 60 minutes of play, Nils Liedholm IF's Kalle Norström made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vladimiro Barroso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Östen Olsson struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Vladimiro Barroso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nils Liedholm IF. In the 73rd minute, Jörgen Bjurström made a precise shot to the right of Vladimiro Barroso. AD Pontassolense's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. 77 minutes into the game, Fernando Portela recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ove Hake. Fernando Portela showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-2. Vladimiro Barroso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörgen Bjurström, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Afonso Castanheira during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The tension between the Nils Liedholm IF and the AD Pontassolense players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ove Hake showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Palhares in the 96th minute of the match. Nils Liedholm IF's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
