A collision led to Ernesto Guevara SyD getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Marcelo Matro hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ismael Musko got free with Nunez Belasko in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloy Jeraldo in the 16th minute of play forced El Retorno de Palermo's goalkeeper Amancio Urtats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd match minute, Ernesto Guevara SyD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Dalmau to maneuver through the defense. If Ismael Musko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddy Aguilera scored 0-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amancio Urtats, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 39th minute of the match Norberto Blai sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amancio Urtats skillfully saved the ball. In the 40th minute, Freddy Aguilera made a precise shot to the right of Amancio Urtats. El Retorno de Palermo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After the first half Ernesto Guevara SyD were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Freddy Aguilera to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, El Retorno de Palermo's goalkeeper Amancio Urtats had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Freddy Aguilera. Amancio Urtats didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Freddy Aguilera went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. After 64 played minutes Guido Dalmau rounded El Retorno de Palermo's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-6. Eloy Jeraldo kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Guido Dalmau had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amancio Urtats. Ernesto Guevara SyD's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
