Rex Marler was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Cleiton Trigo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cleiton Trigo really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. In the 46th minute there was a penalty for Blumenau Esporte Clube. Délio Gerber stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rex Marler. 5-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erik Baptista to make the kick off. Délio Gerber's late challenge caught a Arrows Academy FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Délio Gerber helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Blumenau Esporte Clube's Délio Gerber got a free kick in the 51st minute. Arrows Academy FC's Phil Roy managed to work through Blumenau Esporte Clube's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Phil Roy dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Baptista in the 61st minute of play forced Arrows Academy FC's goalkeeper Rex Marler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute Camron Bullard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Blumenau Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Hélio Tepedino hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, Phil Roy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
