Elias Kiempe charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elias Kiempe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 played minutes FC Blueskatterna got a freekick which was hit by Elias Kiempe. Christian Drewitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustin Sotil in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Filip Linqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Blueskatterna's Christian Drewitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save FC Blueskatterna from getting a goal against them. Siro Argenis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Christian Drewitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karl-Oskar Back hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. If Sigvard Björk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agustin Sotil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Christian Drewitz made a huge save. Agustin Sotil took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christian Drewitz. Christian Drewitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Siro Argenis in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christian Drewitz saved FC Blueskatterna from getting behind. With a little luck, FC Blueskatterna's Christian Drewitz got control of the ball when Leon Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Haroldo Raymon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Oskar Back in the 33rd minute of the match. Christian Drewitz made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Agustin Sotil sent off a good shot on target. Christian Drewitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rosendo Napier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 42 played minutes FC Blueskatterna got a freekick which was hit by Åke Offendahl. After 46 played minutes FC Blueskatterna got a freekick which was hit by Pelle Kalfhage. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Sigvard Björk made the kick off in the second half. Roger Glanselius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroldo Raymon having to interfere. Sportivo Constitución's Victoriano Licerio was substituted for Benigno Chano. A collision led to FC Blueskatterna getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Karl-Oskar Back hit a great ball. Elias Kiempe was shown his second yellow card after 71 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Sportivo Constitución booed when FC Blueskatterna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingvar Molander didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Blueskatterna's zone, Victoriano Licerio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Drewitz came out of the goal and Victoriano Licerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Sportivo Constitución getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Herminio Abad hit a great ball. Christian Drewitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Barbosa in the 83rd minute of play. Christian Drewitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eloy Igon, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Rosendo Napier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th match minute, FC Blueskatterna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Åke Offendahl to maneuver through the defense. FC Blueskatterna's Christian Drewitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siro Argenis in the 92nd minute of play. Christian Drewitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustin Sotil, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Åke Offendahl hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sportivo Constitución had won after a very even match.
