At first the shot seemed to be simple for OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Cafu Linares to catch but Kurt McCauley was lucky. It became 0-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. Heriberto Walton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Ceresso in the 9th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Ceresso in the 12th minute of play forced Vancouver Reds's goalkeeper Heriberto Walton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heriberto Walton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valdir Magalhães in the 14th minute. If Edgard Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute, Valdir Magalhães ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Heriberto Walton was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Thanh Dodd kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Heriberto Walton didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 23rd minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. After some careless play in the Vancouver Reds defense, Cássio Peixoto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Heriberto Walton. The Vancouver Reds fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Heriberto Walton should have stopped the shot. Dênis Prata kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, OTTO FC - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Jarrett Poirier came free, but Cafu Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the OTTO FC - FSCMZ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
