Result 1-0. Quincy Minor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Vicente Beliran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vancouver Reds's Marshall Valenzuela suffered a sprained foot after 10 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Florencio Txeru charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Florencio Txeru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 10 played minutes CF Scalonetos got a freekick which was hit by Florencio Txeru. CF Scalonetos's Vicente Beliran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarrett Poirier in the 14th minute of play. Vicente Beliran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarrett Poirier, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. If Jarrett Poirier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vicente Beliran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarrett Poirier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jarrett Poirier came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Vancouver Reds fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jarrett Poirier couldn't finish the play. Florencio Txeru was shown his second yellow card after 25 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Vicente Beliran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarrett Poirier in the 31st minute of the match. Jarrett Poirier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Beliran having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Alonzo Manny made a precise shot to the right of Heriberto Walton. Vancouver Reds's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarrett Poirier in the 46th minute of play forced CF Scalonetos's goalkeeper Vicente Beliran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Alonzo Manny hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Sixto Ugaitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jarrett Poirier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jarrett Poirier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jarrett Poirier's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Vicente Beliran skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, CF Scalonetos could leave the field as winners, despite Vancouver Reds having more of the ball for most of the match.
