Ralph Peeters started the match with the kick off. After some careless play in the Compostela FSCMZ defense, Pascall Mik kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Fernando Baiano. The Compostela FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Fernando Baiano should have stopped the shot. 10 minutes into the game, Sjors Schulte recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luiz Fernando Baiano. Sjors Schulte showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralph Peeters in the 13th minute of play forced Compostela FSCMZ's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Fernando Baiano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sjors Schulte in the 14th minute. Dirk Rensenbrink could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Luiz Fernando Baiano made a huge save. A collision led to Compostela FSCMZ getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Oswaldo Cabral hit a great ball. In the 19th minute, Sjors Schulte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Verwachting fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 26 minutes into the game, Sjors Schulte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Verwachting's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Compostela FSCMZ the free kick. After a rather tough play, Verwachting's Sjors Schulte got a free kick in the 27th minute. Luiz Fernando Baiano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sjors Schulte showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 30 minute of play. César Correia hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Wilfred Vonk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Verwachting's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfred Vonk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th minute, Compostela FSCMZ's Romário Borges seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Romário Borges the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Compostela FSCMZ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Romário Borges had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oswaldo Cabral to strike the kick off in the second half. Sjors Schulte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Fernando Baiano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sjors Schulte in the 53rd minute of play forced Compostela FSCMZ's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 57 minutes of play, Verwachting's Ralph Peeters made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luiz Fernando Baiano was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 61st minute Wilfred Vonk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Sjors Schulte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Verwachting fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. In the 73rd minute, Sjors Schulte made a precise shot to the right of Luiz Fernando Baiano. Compostela FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Luiz Fernando Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascall Mik in the 76th minute of play. Ralph Peeters scored 9-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luiz Fernando Baiano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 90 minutes into the match, Sjors Schulte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luiz Fernando Baiano. Compostela FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sjors Schulte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Verwachting had played much better football throughout.
