Spectators: 7538 (Terracing: 5655, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 150) Villa Mitre City's Matias Tulio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Ralph Peeters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Villa Mitre City's Osvaldo Nesto got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 7th minute of the match Verwachting got a corner. Villa Mitre City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wilfred Vonk ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Verwachting's Han Sibon getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Pascall Mik scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisco Ospin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ralph Peeters recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Villa Mitre City's goalkeeper Francisco Ospin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pascall Mik. Pascall Mik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dirk Rensenbrink kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After having played for 27 minutes, Ralph Peeters managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Verwachting's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ralph Peeters was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Henny Jans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Tulio in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Villa Mitre City's goal looked a bit too open when Han Sibon came free, but Francisco Ospin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Villa Mitre City's goalkeeper Francisco Ospin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pascall Mik. 39 minutes into the match, Pascall Mik had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francisco Ospin. Villa Mitre City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pascall Mik was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Ralph Peeters managed to get in a good position for a shot. Verwachting's supporters rose to their feet, but Ralph Peeters was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco Ospin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ralph Peeters to make the kick off. Henny Jans made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matias Tulio in the 57th minute. After 60 minutes of play, Verwachting's Sjors Schulte made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Francisco Ospin was left in no man's land by his defense there! 69 minutes into the game, Verwachting's Ralph Peeters nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francisco Ospin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Henny Jans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franz Corral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 75 played minutes Verwachting got a freekick which was hit by Han Sibon. Severiano Chuan kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Wilfred Vonk was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 80th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Delmar Olando during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Villa Mitre City's Delmar Olando got a free kick in the 81st minute. 84 minutes into the match, Villa Mitre City's goal looked a bit too open when Pascall Mik came free, but Francisco Ospin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Villa Mitre City players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Verwachting.
