After a defensive mix-up in Talcampeón FC's zone, Pascall Mik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rutenio Poveda came out of the goal and Pascall Mik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ralph Peeters scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rutenio Poveda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 8 minutes, Amado Raineri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Talcampeón FC and the Verwachting players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Verwachting booed when Talcampeón FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amado Raineri didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Talcampeón FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfred Vonk came free, but Rutenio Poveda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Han Sibon hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerard Salens in the 14th minute of play forced Talcampeón FC's goalkeeper Rutenio Poveda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Pascall Mik cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Rutenio Poveda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ralph Peeters in the 19th minute of the match. Rutenio Poveda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascall Mik, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacinto Cross got free with Henny Jans in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 41 minutes into the game, Ralph Peeters cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Rutenio Poveda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th minute, Bonifacio Lavanderos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pascall Mik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rutenio Poveda having to interfere. The Talcampeón FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Verwachting were winning 0-3.

A collision led to Verwachting getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Wilfred Vonk hit a great ball. Pascall Mik could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Rutenio Poveda made a huge save. 63 minutes into the game, Ralph Peeters recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rutenio Poveda. Ralph Peeters showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. The supporters of Talcampeón FC booed when Verwachting was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dirk Rensenbrink didn't get a good kick on the ball. Verwachting's Henny Jans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Cross in the 68th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Bonifacio Lavanderos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henny Jans. Verwachting's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bonifacio Lavanderos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. In the 72nd minute, Jacinto Cross got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Gerjan Das came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Verwachting fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerjan Das couldn't finish the play. If Ralph Peeters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rutenio Poveda was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gerard Salens showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 83 minute of play. Pascall Mik scored 1-6 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rutenio Poveda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pascall Mik succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-7 in the 90th playminute. The Verwachting players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
