Spectators: 7481 (Terracing: 5612, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nicolas Ihazintu took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 10th minute of the match, Edmílson Catarinense got a very nice opportunity to score, but Benedicto Beremundo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Albino Serapio hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albino Serapio during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 14 played minutes Depor Alex Return got a freekick which was hit by Albino Serapio. 15 minutes into the match, Hílton Cosme sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Benedicto Beremundo threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Hílton Cosme this time. Nicolas Ihazintu took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan Velloso. Juan Velloso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 30 minutes into the match, Depor Alex Return's goal looked a bit too open when Kléber Saldanha came free, but Benedicto Beremundo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Albino Serapio was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 31 minutes had been played. After 31 played minutes Depor Alex Return got a freekick which was hit by Albino Serapio. When Edmílson Catarinense came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Oranil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmílson Catarinense couldn't finish the play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Depor Alex Return fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! Benedicto Beremundo had in the 40thth minute some difficulties stopping Sérgio das Neves's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Benedicto Beremundo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sérgio das Neves went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 46th minute, Nicolas Ihazintu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 51st minute Edmílson Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Beremundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th match minute, Depor Alex Return was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmacio Peyo to maneuver through the defense. Depor Alex Return's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zacarias Unax in the 59th minute. A nice corner shot did that Dalmacio Peyo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Juan Velloso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 62nd match minute, Depor Alex Return was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Gregory to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmílson Catarinense in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benedicto Beremundo saved Depor Alex Return from getting behind. Gervasio Veto kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Gervasio Veto came free in the 69th minute and tried to tip the ball over Juan Velloso, but to the joy of Oranil's supporters the ball went over. Juan Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Ihazintu in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Sérgio Freire notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Depor Alex Return's Benedicto Beremundo. Benedicto Beremundo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 76 played minutes Depor Alex Return got a freekick which was hit by Romulo Jobo. After 77 minutes, Sérgio Freire mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oranil and the Depor Alex Return players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Oranil getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Sérgio Freire hit a great ball. Benedicto Beremundo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmílson Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sérgio das Neves hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. 93 minutes into the match, Oranil's goalkeeper Juan Velloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolas Ihazintu. Juan Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Ihazintu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oranil's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
