The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emiliano Grossi came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's Nando Abraão. But to his dismay, Nando Abraão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Sidney de Amorim hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Ulisses Marquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Gilvan de Lara came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilvan de Lara couldn't finish the play. Emiliano Grossi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilvan de Lara's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. After a defensive mix-up in AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's zone, Dino Cimino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomás Vides came out of the goal and Dino Cimino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's Paulo José das Neves got a free kick in the 21st minute. Adriano Barone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Thomás Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adriano Barone's late challenge caught a AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adriano Barone helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Villa Gordiani's Adriano Barone got a free kick in the 23rd minute. A collision led to Villa Gordiani getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Fabrizio Melfi hit a great ball. When AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's Ulisses Marquez in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Villa Gordiani's goalie prevented a goal. Dudu Sanches took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emiliano Grossi. Emiliano Grossi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilvan de Lara during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Gilvan de Lara hit a great ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Villa Gordiani:s goal. Ulisses Marquez's late challenge caught a Villa Gordiani's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulisses Marquez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th match minute, AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulisses Marquez to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, Ulisses Marquez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dino Cimino to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulisses Marquez in the 55th minute of play forced Villa Gordiani's goalkeeper Emiliano Grossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Villa Gordiani's Enzo Bearzot managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sidney de Amorim in the 58 minute of the game. Paulo José das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 67thth minute of the game Ulisses Marquez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villa Gordiani's Emiliano Grossi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emiliano Grossi was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Paulo José das Neves. 69 minutes into the match, Villa Gordiani's goal looked a bit too open when Ulisses Marquez came free, but Emiliano Grossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amedeo Pompilio's late challenge caught a AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amedeo Pompilio helped the player get up and apologised. Amedeo Pompilio kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Emiliano Grossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulisses Marquez in the 77th minute of the match. Ulisses Marquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dudu Sanches could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Emiliano Grossi made a huge save. In the 82nd play minute Ulisses Marquez came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Emiliano Grossi. 1-5. Dudu Sanches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Grossi having to interfere. Emiliano Grossi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ulisses Marquez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 86 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Villa Gordiani's Concetto Spinelli got a free kick in the 91st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulisses Marquez in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emiliano Grossi prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
