Domeka Talavera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Kağan Mirza in the 12th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Domeka Talavera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Recep Tayyip Zorlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute, Yağız Rafet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yağız Rafet kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Tirant lo Blanch's Anxelu Casillas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nuh Akkuş narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With his leg Domeka Talavera managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Trabzon's Bayhan Şennur fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Tirant lo Blanch's José Revuelta got a free kick in the 39th minute.

The wind increased when Bayhan Şennur made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bayhan Şennur in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Domeka Talavera saved Tirant lo Blanch from getting behind. Domeka Talavera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Kağan Mirza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tirant lo Blanch's Domeka Talavera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Kağan Mirza in the 58th minute of play. Ivón Barroso was shown his second yellow card after 63 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 63rd match minute, Tirant lo Blanch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivón Barroso to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Mauricio Cabezas in the 66th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Trabzon's Yiğitcan Tarancı. Trabzon's Yiğitcan Tarancı got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bayhan Şennur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Domeka Talavera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bayhan Şennur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 85th minute, Ahmet Kağan Mirza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Trabzon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Agustín Zapater sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anxelu Casillas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Nuh Akkuş made a huge save. When Bayhan Şennur came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Trabzon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bayhan Şennur couldn't finish the play.
