The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Erivaldo de Azevedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo da Silva. Matadores FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erivaldo de Azevedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Matadores FC's Paulo da Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Zica in the 6th minute of play. Luiz Pereira hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Paulo da Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Zaga in the 10th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Gernando Galvão successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Luiz Pereira fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Matadores FC's protests and gave Luiz Pereira a yellow card for diving instead. Luiz Pereira hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute of the match Leandro Zaga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulo da Silva showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. BANDOLEIROS osasco's Leandro Zaga got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo da Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Zica in the 31st minute of play. In the 35th minute, Alex Félix ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gernando Galvão was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 43 minutes into the game, Kléberson Vaz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matadores FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BANDOLEIROS osasco the free kick. In the 43rd match minute, Matadores FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléberson Vaz to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute, Erivaldo de Azevedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BANDOLEIROS osasco fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. BANDOLEIROS osasco made a substitution. Virgílio da Costa replaced Cido de Brito. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dráuzio Faria made a kick off. Luiz Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Erivaldo de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erivaldo de Azevedo's late challenge caught a Matadores FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erivaldo de Azevedo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, BANDOLEIROS osasco's Erivaldo de Azevedo got a free kick in the 68th minute. Dráuzio Faria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Paulo da Silva made a huge save. Erivaldo de Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Paulo da Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Narciso Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Paulo da Silva yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Erivaldo de Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 101st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo da Silva having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moisés Godoi in the 103rd minute of play forced BANDOLEIROS osasco's goalkeeper Gernando Galvão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
