The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jens-Ola Mellberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paavo Ludri, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute Fc Meremõisa were awarded a corner. Kaur Toompere went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Fc Meremõisa's corner Kaur Toompere fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jens-Ola Mellberg quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Fc Meremõisa booed when Sonstorps Fotboll was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olof Arvidsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rainer Pahapill hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute, Tom Nuut left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fc Meremõisa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Sonstorps Fotboll getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Ulrik Isaksson hit a great ball. In the 28thth minute of the game Tom Nuut who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sonstorps Fotboll's Jens-Ola Mellberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mehis Kluge kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 37 minutes into the game, Jonny Sillén was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sonstorps Fotboll's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fc Meremõisa the free kick. The supporters of Fc Meremõisa booed when Sonstorps Fotboll was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonny Sillén didn't get a good kick on the ball. Taaniel Aron's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jens-Ola Mellberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After 41 played minutes Sonstorps Fotboll got a freekick which was hit by Ulrik Isaksson. In the 46th minute, Sonstorps Fotboll's Ulrik Isaksson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Fc Meremõisa made a substitution. Rando Saari replaced Paavo Ludri. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ulrik Isaksson to strike the kick off in the second half. Urmas Tohter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulrik Isaksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Adrian Vibjörnsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Urmas Tohter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulrik Isaksson in the 62nd minute of play. Ernst Elu hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute Ulrik Isaksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urmas Tohter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wiktor Rang lost his temper 71 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of Sonstorps Fotboll:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Fc Meremõisa:s goal. Tom Nuut could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Jens-Ola Mellberg made a huge save. After 83rd play minutes Tom Nuut shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Jens-Ola Mellberg and just under the crossbar into goal. Ando Looga charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ando Looga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taaniel Aron in the 90th minute of play forced Sonstorps Fotboll's goalkeeper Jens-Ola Mellberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
