In the 3rd match minute, Chancy Olympique was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Courtemanche to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute of the match Dedé Loyola sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Remo Steingher skillfully saved the ball. Jake Zarrella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gino Brito having to interfere. Remo Steingher was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Geovânio Camargo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Geovânio Camargo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Jake Zarrella kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Percy de Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Percy de Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th minute, Percy de Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bezerros EC's Percy de Azevedo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 14th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 17th minute Karim Rusch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jake Zarrella struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Gino Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chancy Olympique. Remo Steingher made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustavo Corrêa in the 21st minute. Chancy Olympique's Remo Steingher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráuzio Tasso in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Gabor Helfenstein was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chancy Olympique's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bezerros EC the free kick. A collision led to Chancy Olympique getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Gabor Helfenstein hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovânio Camargo in the 29th minute of play forced Chancy Olympique's goalkeeper Remo Steingher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dráuzio Tasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bezerros EC's Gino Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karim Rusch in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of Bezerros EC booed when Chancy Olympique was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zelimir Marty didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Dráuzio Tasso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bezerros EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dráuzio Tasso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remo Steingher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th match minute, Bezerros EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisinho Massa to maneuver through the defense. Remo Steingher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Corrêa in the 40th minute of play. Gino Brito came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Chancy Olympique's Karim Rusch. But to his dismay, Karim Rusch quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karim Rusch made a kick off. Geovânio Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remo Steingher having to interfere. A collision led to Bezerros EC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Edinho Corrêa hit a great ball. Remo Steingher stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Geovânio Camargo's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Remo Steingher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the game, Gustavo Corrêa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Remo Steingher was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gino Brito made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Gabor Helfenstein sent off a good shot on target. 68 minutes into the match, Gabor Helfenstein notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Bezerros EC's Gino Brito. Gino Brito was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Remo Steingher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráuzio Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Chancy Olympique's Remo Steingher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Corrêa in the 79th minute of play. Marc Greub kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Percy de Azevedo was shown his second yellow card after 81 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Chancy Olympique's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
