Dênis Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 9 minutes into the game, PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Dudu Neļķis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iuri Viana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Iuri Viana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elói Nogueira went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Elói Nogueira succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 16th playminute. Elói Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Bruno da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iuri Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iuri Viana made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Dênis Gomes sent off a good shot on target. In the 26th match minute, Catugi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Paulo Loyola to maneuver through the defense. Dênis Gomes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Iuri Viana made a huge save. Iuri Viana made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Dênis Gomes sent off a good shot on target. 39 minutes into the game, Artur Nunes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Catugi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PEÇONHENTO FC MG the free kick. Artur Nunes hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vivaldo Pitta came free, but Iuri Viana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Pitta in the 45th minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Iuri Viana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Dudu Neļķis fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PEÇONHENTO FC MG's protests and gave Dudu Neļķis a yellow card for diving instead. Dudu Neļķis kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elói Nogueira to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Bruno da Costa notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Catugi FC's Iuri Viana. Iuri Viana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 54 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vivaldo Pitta came free, but Iuri Viana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute, Elói Nogueira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PEÇONHENTO FC MG fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. In the 59th minute Bruno da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iuri Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iuri Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dênis Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Iuri Viana came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Dênis Gomes. But to his dismay, Dênis Gomes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Kader Picar charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kader Picar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th minute, Kader Picar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 played minutes, Catugi FC's Davi Proença shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luisão Simões came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Catugi FC reached it. After 66 played minutes PEÇONHENTO FC MG got a freekick which was hit by Bruno da Costa. After 67 played minutes, Catugi FC's Fabinho Teixeira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luisão Simões came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Catugi FC reached it. In the 68th match minute, PEÇONHENTO FC MG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kader Picar to maneuver through the defense. Catugi FC's Artur Nunes shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 69th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Luisão Simões but with some difficulty. In the 71st minute Vivaldo Pitta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iuri Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute, Kader Picar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in PEÇONHENTO FC MG's zone, Davi Proença stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisão Simões came out of the goal and Davi Proença tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Egídio Abraão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Egídio Abraão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Luisão Simões made a huge save. When the referee ended the match the PEÇONHENTO FC MG players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
