In the 24th minute, one of BK Skjold:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for BK Skjold. Richard Correia shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Cristian Romsbøge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chicão Tepedino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Folmer Valdæk charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Folmer Valdæk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Alvinegro Carioca booed when BK Skjold was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Folmer Valdæk didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, BK Skjold's goalkeeper Cristian Romsbøge had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Charles Maranhense. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chicão Tepedino to make the kick off. Samuel Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tor Glarner in the 54th minute of the match. After 55 played minutes Alvinegro Carioca got a freekick which was hit by Chicão Tepedino. In the 57th minute, Sidnei Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute Sebastian Bisfort shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, BK Skjold's goal looked a bit too open when Chicão Tepedino came free, but Cristian Romsbøge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Sebastian Bisfort hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chicão Tepedino in the 73rd minute of play forced BK Skjold's goalkeeper Cristian Romsbøge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samuel Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Bisfort, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Cristian Romsbøge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charles Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Romsbøge having to interfere.
