The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th match minute, Ayapaso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantino Walme to maneuver through the defense. Rogelio Rik came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Barrenta SC's Umberto Trigo. But to his dismay, Umberto Trigo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Rogelio Rik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elói de Medeiros in the 14th minute of the match. The supporters of Barrenta SC booed when Ayapaso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Valiente didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Umberto Trigo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Rogelio Rik was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valdir Rosa's late challenge caught a Ayapaso FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valdir Rosa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th minute, Valdir Rosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Barrenta SC booed when Ayapaso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantino Walme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Constantino Walme hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Ayapaso FC defense, Murilo Mazza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rogelio Rik. The Ayapaso FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rogelio Rik should have stopped the shot. 34 minutes into the match, Ayapaso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elói de Medeiros came free, but Rogelio Rik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Gabriel Valiente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rogelio Rik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murilo Mazza in the 40th minute of play. Naldo Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Satordi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Umberto Trigo's late challenge caught a Ayapaso FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 44 played minutes Ayapaso FC got a freekick which was hit by Constantino Walme.

A collision led to Ayapaso FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Gaspar Inguma hit a great ball. Umberto Trigo was shown his second yellow card after 61 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Ayapaso FC booed when Barrenta SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Umberto Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Murilo Mazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rogelio Rik showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rogelio Rik made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Valdir Rosa sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th minute, Sandro Quirino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th match minute, Ayapaso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Valiente to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Ayapaso FC's Constantino Walme got a free kick in the 96th minute. Barrenta SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
