Alexandre Moreira made in the 21st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Raúl de Souza immediately put the ball in play. After 22 played minutes Minotauro got a freekick which was hit by Zé Paulo Mendonça. Minotauro's Giovanni de Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Matorin in the 30th minute of play. The supporters of Minotauro booed when Aurora FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilson Matorin didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perivaldo Dias in the 33rd minute of play forced Aurora FC's goalkeeper Dedé Dante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Minotauro's Felippe Donatello got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Felippe Donatello came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Minotauro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felippe Donatello couldn't finish the play. Aloísio Mesquitas short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Dedé Dante to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 78th minute, Délio Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Felippe Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dedé Dante made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felippe Donatello in the 84th minute. Léo Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Dedé Dante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Minotauro's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
