Geraldo Aguiar started the match with the kick off. Minho FC's Bento Bento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo Aguiar in the 3rd minute of play. 3 minutes into the game, Cauan de Barros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Minho FC the free kick. In the 3rd match minute, Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cauan de Barros to maneuver through the defense. Albertinho Vaz was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Lisandro Leite capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lisandro Leite really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When Cauan de Barros was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 13 minutes had been played. After 13 played minutes Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Cauan de Barros. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Varela got free with Albertinho Vaz in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 26 minutes into the game, Basílio Brodel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Minho FC the free kick. In the 26th minute, Basílio Brodel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s Albertinho Vaz got control of the ball when Marco Varela tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. were furious when Basílio Brodel was red carded, 34 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 41st minute Lisandro Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albertinho Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albertinho Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurício Pimentel in the 42nd minute of the match. The supporters of Minho FC booed when Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geraldo Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albertinho Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisandro Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lisandro Leite made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Lisandro Leite made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s Albertinho Vaz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Albertinho Vaz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lisandro Leite's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Minho FC were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lisandro Leite took the corner. Jorge Mendonça hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Marco Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lisandro Leite in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albertinho Vaz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s zone, Caio Ponte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertinho Vaz came out of the goal and Caio Ponte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Lisandro Leite's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albertinho Vaz was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Albertinho Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the match, Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Maurício Pimentel came free, but Albertinho Vaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lisandro Leite in the 79th minute of play forced Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s goalkeeper Albertinho Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Marco Varela cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Albertinho Vaz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Minho FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Moisés Ribeiro hit a great ball. Egídio Loureiro hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
