The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Kusti Olev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emenon Borrego sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahto Ainsaar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chesus Jusino in the 8th minute. Ahto Karindi hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. If Kusti Olev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luix Nicola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kusti Olev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bastiaro Puelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ahto Ainsaar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Hugo's Kusti Olev got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, FC Hugo's goal looked a bit too open when Osoitz Baron came free, but Ahto Ainsaar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of FC Hugo booed when Ríver Late was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chesus Jusino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luix Nicola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juhan Laik in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th match minute, FC Hugo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tavo Aab to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pablo Adurza got free with Ahto Ainsaar in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 46 minutes into the match, Ríver Late's goal looked a bit too open when Juhan Laik came free, but Luix Nicola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juhan Laik made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Osoitz Baron had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ahto Ainsaar. FC Hugo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osoitz Baron was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in FC Hugo's zone, Desiderio Pan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahto Ainsaar came out of the goal and Desiderio Pan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ahto Ainsaar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osoitz Baron, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After 78 played minutes FC Hugo got a freekick which was hit by Elmar Koppelmaa. Ahto Ainsaar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chesus Jusino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juhan Laik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ríver Late were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
