In the 4th minute, Dale Maylett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes in the game, Victor Barker fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Nelson Cloarec having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davy Giacomoni in the 9th minute of play forced Garlic Eaters's goalkeeper Jerome Newton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Garlic Eaters booed when Formation Pure Lyonnaise was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspard Letourneux didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute, Victor Barker ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nelson Cloarec was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 44th minute, Hamza Le Forestier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Mohamed-Ali Duparc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Mohamed-Ali Duparc got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victor Barker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Nelson Cloarec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 60 minutes, Hamza Le Forestier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Formation Pure Lyonnaise and the Garlic Eaters players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Formation Pure Lyonnaise getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Hamza Le Forestier hit a great ball. If Mohamed-Ali Duparc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Falaise took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jerome Newton. Jerome Newton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Garlic Eaters's Jerome Newton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Garlic Eaters from getting a goal against them. Nelson Cloarec took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Barker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Garlic Eaters's Samuel Stone seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Samuel Stone the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Garlic Eaters protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Samuel Stone had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 75 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Garlic Eaters! After 82 minutes of play, Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Martin Falaise made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jerome Newton was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 90 minutes, Rémi Lys mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Formation Pure Lyonnaise and the Garlic Eaters players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rémi Lys kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Davy Giacomoni got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jerome Newton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davy Giacomoni, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. When the final whistle went the supporters of Formation Pure Lyonnaise were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Garlic Eaters side.
