Spectators: 7491 (Terracing: 5619, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Costel Eta took the kick off in the first half of the match. Nelson Cloarec came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Gladiadores's Costel Eta. But to his dismay, Costel Eta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Constantino Oroitz hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After 10 played minutes Gladiadores got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Markel. In the 13th minute, Gaspard Letourneux got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matan Brito scored 0-2 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nelson Cloarec, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 20th minute, Costel Eta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nelson Cloarec was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 24 minutes into the match, Costel Eta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nelson Cloarec. Formation Pure Lyonnaise's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Costel Eta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Costel Eta scored 0-5 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nelson Cloarec, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Formation Pure Lyonnaise's goal looked a bit too open when Jesus Lluis came free, but Nelson Cloarec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Nelson Cloarec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Iturri in the 32nd minute of play. If Mohamed-Ali Duparc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severo Diegotxe's late challenge caught a Formation Pure Lyonnaise's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severo Diegotxe helped the player get up and apologised. After 39 played minutes Gladiadores got a freekick which was hit by Severo Diegotxe. Nelson Cloarec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Iturri, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The supporters of Gladiadores booed when Formation Pure Lyonnaise was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davy Giacomoni didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Formation Pure Lyonnaise defense, Matan Brito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nelson Cloarec. The Formation Pure Lyonnaise fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nelson Cloarec should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Davy Giacomoni made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Claudio Iturri cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Nelson Cloarec was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 63rd minute, Gladiadores's Matan Brito dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. Costel Eta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nelson Cloarec read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Nelson Cloarec made an important save on a dangerous shot by Costel Eta in the 71st minute. Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Nelson Cloarec proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Formation Pure Lyonnaise from getting a goal against them. Jesus Lluis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Nelson Cloarec made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Formation Pure Lyonnaise's zone, Costel Eta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelson Cloarec came out of the goal and Costel Eta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claudio Iturri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Nelson Cloarec made a huge save. Gladiadores's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
