Spectators: 7527 (Terracing: 5646, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 150) Passa o Tanque MZ's Faustão Soares started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Laerte de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosme Umea in the 5th minute of the match. Reynaldo Argi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Faustão Soares's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Reconquistense FC's zone, Toninho Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reynaldo Argi came out of the goal and Toninho Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Faustão Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 18 minutes, César Vidal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Passa o Tanque MZ and the Reconquistense FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th minute, César Vidal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Reconquistense FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Gonzalo Arotza hit a great ball. Passa o Tanque MZ's Paulo Macedo got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Cosme Umea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Reconquistense FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. César Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Argi having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melchor Iztal in the 35th minute of play forced Passa o Tanque MZ's goalkeeper Laerte de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, César Vidal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Passa o Tanque MZ's Laerte de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvio Gines in the 38th minute of play. Faustão Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Argi having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Faustão Soares got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 44th minute, Hélio Bittencourt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reynaldo Argi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cosme Umea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Passa o Tanque MZ's goalkeeper Laerte de Senna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elvio Gines. 52 minutes into the match, Passa o Tanque MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Melchor Iztal came free, but Laerte de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 56 minutes of play, Passa o Tanque MZ's Faustão Soares made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reynaldo Argi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 61stth minute of the game Hélio Bittencourt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Reconquistense FC's Reynaldo Argi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hélio Bittencourt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Passa o Tanque MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Melchor Iztal came free, but Laerte de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hélio Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the game, Passa o Tanque MZ's Faustão Soares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reynaldo Argi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Reynaldo Argi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César Vidal in the 74th minute of the match. Laerte de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosme Umea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toninho Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Reynaldo Argi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 88 minutes of play, Passa o Tanque MZ's Faustão Soares made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reynaldo Argi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Faustão Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hélio Bittencourt scored 6-2 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Reynaldo Argi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
