Spectators: 7505 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 149) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nemesio Tabb got the match started through his kick off. The audience was convinced that Ronaldinho Meira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeronimo Abella was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Ronaldinho Meira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jeronimo Abella having to make a save. José Pedro Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nemesio Tabb in the 8th minute of play. Pedro Paulo Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Paulo Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeronimo Abella. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Paulo Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Morro Grande E.C's goalkeeper José Pedro Abraão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ronaldinho Meira sped through INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jeronimo Abella. The crowd rose to their feet as Nemesio Tabb kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving José Pedro Abraão. That made the score 1-1 in the 22 minute of play. After 24 minutes, Tomás Magalhães mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Morro Grande E.C and the INDEPENDIENTE F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th match minute, Morro Grande E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, Isidoro Senon reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of José Pedro Abraão. The goal made the score 2-1. 28 minutes into the game, José Augusto Travassos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Morro Grande E.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave INDEPENDIENTE F.C. the free kick. After 28 played minutes Morro Grande E.C got a freekick which was hit by José Augusto Travassos. After a rather tough play, Morro Grande E.C's Ronaldinho Meira got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Leonel Donatello charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonel Donatello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leonel Donatello kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Isidoro Senon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Pedro Abraão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. If Hernan Min had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Morro Grande E.C's José Pedro Abraão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nemesio Tabb in the 37th minute of play. Nemesio Tabb scored 3-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Pedro Abraão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nemesio Tabb charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nemesio Tabb the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 47 minutes, Hernan Min mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INDEPENDIENTE F.C. and the Morro Grande E.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Morro Grande E.C booed when INDEPENDIENTE F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Min didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ronaldinho Meira made a kick off. After 56 played minutes Morro Grande E.C got a freekick which was hit by Elói Penha. INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s Isidoro Senon got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Pedro Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Senon in the 61st minute of play. In the 67th minute, Ronaldinho Meira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jeronimo Abella. The goal made the score 3-2. José Pedro Abraão came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s Isidoro Senon. But to his dismay, Isidoro Senon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. If Ronaldinho Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Paulo Costa in the 81st minute of play forced INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s goalkeeper Jeronimo Abella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomás Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After 85 played minutes INDEPENDIENTE F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Lisandro Gergori. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldinho Meira in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeronimo Abella prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. INDEPENDIENTE F.C. had played much better football throughout.
