The throw-in from Ed Potterton in the 4th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by CD Suscal's Bohórquez Oton. In the 5th minute Zak Walls shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Obarenes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bohórquez Oton during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 9th minute Rory Weatherhead shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Obarenes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Zak Walls managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barr Point's supporters rose to their feet, but Zak Walls was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfonso Obarenes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Zak Walls sped through CD Suscal's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfonso Obarenes. 17 minutes into the match, Rory Weatherhead notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of CD Suscal's Alfonso Obarenes. Alfonso Obarenes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alfonso Obarenes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zak Walls in the 20th minute of play. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind CD Suscal's goalkeeper Alfonso Obarenes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Zak Walls had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sacha Lane made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bohórquez Oton in the 30th minute. When Tod Llewellyn fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barr Point's protests and gave Tod Llewellyn a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Barr Point getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Tod Llewellyn hit a great ball. The throw-in from Ed Potterton in the 39th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by CD Suscal's León Buisan. If Zak Walls had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th match minute, CD Suscal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bohórquez Oton to maneuver through the defense. Caicedo Gorvea kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Caicedo Gorvea to make the kick off. CD Suscal's Xines Merida managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ed Potterton in the 52 minute of the game. Alfonso Obarenes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zak Walls in the 55th minute of the match. Rory Weatherhead took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfonso Obarenes. Alfonso Obarenes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. CD Suscal's Alfonso Obarenes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save CD Suscal from getting a goal against them. 68 minutes into the game, Barr Point's Rory Weatherhead nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfonso Obarenes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. If Rory Weatherhead had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tod Llewellyns short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Alfonso Obarenes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rory Weatherhead succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-5 in the 78th playminute. After 88 minutes of play, Barr Point's Rory Weatherhead made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfonso Obarenes was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle sounded Barr Point left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than CD Suscal.
