Club Deportivo O IRIXO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lord of the Wings the free kick. The supporters of Lord of the Wings booed when Club Deportivo O IRIXO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dacio Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th match minute, Club Deportivo O IRIXO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josu Pabon to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Club Deportivo O IRIXO's zone, Patrick Dean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonardo Romani came out of the goal and Patrick Dean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iosu Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Michael Ennis, 12 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Alisdair Ferries showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antero Vadillos in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute of the match Club Deportivo O IRIXO got a corner. Lord of the Wings's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antero Vadillos ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Gilesindo Paredes heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When Patrick Dean came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Lord of the Wings fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick Dean couldn't finish the play. Alisdair Ferries showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrés-Fernando Gonzalvez in the 27th minute of the match. Antero Vadillos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th minute, Antero Vadillos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Deportivo O IRIXO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Andrés-Fernando Gonzalvez struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Alisdair Ferries didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Deportivo O IRIXO. When Renaldo Gonzalvez fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Deportivo O IRIXO's protests and gave Renaldo Gonzalvez a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Club Deportivo O IRIXO! In the 46th minute there was a penalty for Lord of the Wings. Michael Ennis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Leonardo Romani. 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patrick Dean to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronan Currie in the 52nd minute of play forced Club Deportivo O IRIXO's goalkeeper Leonardo Romani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute, Wal McKersey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute Matthew McHugh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Romani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Club Deportivo O IRIXO defense, Ronan Currie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonardo Romani. The Club Deportivo O IRIXO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonardo Romani should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronan Currie in the 64th minute of play forced Club Deportivo O IRIXO's goalkeeper Leonardo Romani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrés-Fernando Gonzalvez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Alisdair Ferries tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Antero Vadillos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iosu Toledo struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Alisdair Ferries didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Deportivo O IRIXO. 73 minutes into the match, Wal McKersey notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Club Deportivo O IRIXO's Leonardo Romani. Leonardo Romani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Iosu Toledo was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 76 minutes had been played. Iosu Toledo hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Lord of the Wings's zone, Andrés-Fernando Gonzalvez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antero Vadillos charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antero Vadillos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Antero Vadillos hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Lord of the Wings's Patrick Dean got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 86 minutes of play Club Deportivo O IRIXO's Antero Vadillos was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Lord of the Wings booed when Club Deportivo O IRIXO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antero Vadillos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrés-Fernando Gonzalvez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lord of the Wings were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Club Deportivo O IRIXO for a fine match.
