TibaDons's Ollie Clark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cedric Van Landewijck in the 27th minute of play. TibaDons's Robbie Denham suffered a concussion after 33 minutes and had to leave the field. After 33 minutes, Douglas Cortens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SK Dreigoten and the TibaDons players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SK Dreigoten getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Douglas Cortens hit a great ball. Erwin Kerstens hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Rick Postolan hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. If Jo Vissenakens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Grant Cornish made the kick off in the second half. Ollie Clark made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Cedric Van Landewijck sent off a good shot on target. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. TibaDons's Jeff Birchall was substituted for Rick Postolan. In the 94th minute, Ewout Valckenaers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
