The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bill Severyns was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 18th minute of the match Real Còrdoba FC got a corner. SK Dreigoten's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wilfredo Montay ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Real Còrdoba FC's Teo Arnalt to a score. 1-2 in the 18th minute. Bill Severyns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Nataniel in the 21st minute of the match. Bill Severyns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teo Arnalt in the 25th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilberto Nataniel in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bill Severyns prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bill Severyns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teo Arnalt in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, SK Dreigoten's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Nataniel came free, but Bill Severyns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bill Severyns didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arturo Jerrold went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henri Van Houtvinc during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jesus Fidensio kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Nestor Garaile kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Cedric Van Landewijck made the kick off in the second half. With his leg Bill Severyns managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Real Còrdoba FC's Claudio-Di-Domenico Echeverri fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Real Còrdoba FC's Gilberto Nataniel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bill Severyns. That made the score 1-5 after 57 minutes of play. In the 63rd minute, Wilfredo Montay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Real Còrdoba FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
