Spectators: 7536 (Terracing: 5653, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 150) Edson Futebol Clube's Arlindo Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Nataniel in the 5th minute of play. Claudinei Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Aurelio Pietro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arlindo Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Nataniel in the 11th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Gilberto Nataniel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arlindo Goiano. Edson Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilberto Nataniel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Edson Futebol Clube's zone, Arturo Jerrold stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arlindo Goiano came out of the goal and Arturo Jerrold tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th match minute, Edson Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caetano Nunes to maneuver through the defense. Wilfredo Montay took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arlindo Goiano. Edson Futebol Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Arlindo Goiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Jerrold, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 28th minute, Teo Arnalt made a precise shot to the right of Arlindo Goiano. Edson Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After 32 minutes of play, Real Còrdoba FC's Gilberto Nataniel made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arlindo Goiano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Claudinei Almeida hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute, Teo Arnalt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arlindo Goiano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. 42 minutes into the game, Cláudio Antunes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Edson Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Còrdoba FC the free kick. The supporters of Real Còrdoba FC booed when Edson Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cláudio Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilberto Nataniel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aurelio Pietro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Almeida in the 60th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Gilberto Nataniel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claudinei Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Pietro having to interfere. In the 78th minute of the match, Gilberto Nataniel tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arlindo Goiano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 83rd match minute, Real Còrdoba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Jerrold to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Real Còrdoba FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Edson Futebol Clube throughout the match.
