After 37 played minutes Flying Dutch got a freekick which was hit by Thomás Custódio. Inge Karlsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laerte Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kaká Santana to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, one of Flying Dutch:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Segmon IF a penalty, 53 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tomas Brolin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Flying Dutch's Arthur Albuquerque. 1-1. 58 minutes into the match, Segmon IF's goal looked a bit too open when Thomás Custódio came free, but Inge Karlsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cássio Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Flying Dutch's goalkeeper Arthur Albuquerque, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Kaká Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kaká Santana was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 73rd minute. After having played for 95 minutes, Kaká Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flying Dutch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kaká Santana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Flying Dutch left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Segmon IF.
